WEBSITES AND INFO

For more information on Rheumatoid Arthritis, here are some great links to websites I have found invaluable:

1. Mayo Clinic: Definition, symptoms, and treatments of Rheumatoid Arthritis(RA).

2. New Way RA: a website that offers online support and advice for those who live with RA.

3. Video: Understanding the effects of RA on the body.

4. IAAM (The International Autoimmune Arthritis Movement): A nonprofit organization that benefits those who suffer from Autoimmune Arthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis. They are moving to have the name of RA changed as it is one of the most misunderstood diseases (also known as the "invisible disease").

5. MyRACentral.com: A web community dedicated to people who suffer from the disease and/or care for someone who suffers from RA. Lots of great info!

6. Butyoudontlooksick.com: A wonderful website created by a Lupus sufferer. Lupus is also and autoimmune disease and similar to RA in several ways. Wonderful information...especially the "Spoon Theory"; I am a lifelong "Spoonie!"

7. National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week: Information on what to do and how to help those with an Invisible Illness such as RA, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, MS, Lyme Disease, Celiac Disease, etc. Make sure to check out the Statistics and Stories section; they have a detailed list of great organizations concerning invisible illnesses.

Those are a few...I am sure there are many more, I just can't think of them right now! There is so much to learn about this disease as it truly is life altering. Good luck in your research! Let me know if there is anything I can help you with!

*I am in no way connected to any of these websites and/or organizations and do not endorse or support their publications.
